WHAT WE DO
Fade Forward Foundation is dedicated to providing barber education to underserved young adults, with a focus on those who are currently incarcerated. Our mission is to empower these individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in barbering, ultimately supporting their reintegration into society and reducing the likelihood of reoffending.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS
Our programs are designed to offer barber education, mentorship, and career guidance to young adults in our communities with a special focus on those that are in juvenile detention centers and correctional facilities. We aim to create a positive impact by equipping these individuals with valuable skills and a meaningful pathway to a successful future.
Barber Training Workshops
We conduct hands-on barber training workshops and seminars, providing practical experience and industry knowledge to our participants. These workshops serve as a platform for skill development and professional networking within the barbering community.
Educational Advocacy
In addition to our direct programs, we advocate for the expansion of educational opportunities within the juvenile justice system. We work to promote policies that prioritize education and skill-building as essential components of rehabilitation and successful reentry.
Support Services
We offer a range of support services, including mental health resources, financial literacy training, and access to community resources. By addressing community needs, we aim to empower our participants to overcome barriers and achieve sustainable personal and professional growth.
Community Engagement
Reentry Support
We actively engage with local communities to raise awareness about the importance of supporting the reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals. Through partnerships and outreach, we strive to eliminate stigmas and create a supportive environment for our program participants.
Upon release, we provide continued support to our program graduates, including assistance with job placement, entrepreneurship opportunities, and ongoing personal development. Our goal is to facilitate a smooth transition back into society and to foster a sense of purpose and belonging.
Collaborative Partnerships
We collaborate with barbershops, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a network of support for our participants. These partnerships enable us to expand our reach and provide comprehensive support for the individuals we serve.
